Triple optics Binoculars : Marine - Theatre - Field
c
1910's
This antique pair of binoculars were
for multiple purpose : They have a triple optics mechanism that make it possible,
by using a knob, to chose amoung three different lenses : one for Marine,
one for Theatre, and one for Field.
They are made of brass, and the leather
covered has disappeared. They also have suffered some dings but no major one.
One small lens (the one for theatre on the left eyepiece) is split, but it does
not impair viewing through it. Other optics are in good conditions considering
they age.
This binoculars are mechanicaly sound, in particular the triple optics mechanism.
A bee as well as a patent number appear on the knob, as well as the inscriptions
Marine Theatre and Field. No other marking. Rare item.
